Originally from Aledo, Texas, Slaten graduated from Texas Tech University with a degree in business management. Prior to joining Raymond James in 2023, he spent five years with Edward Jones. He currently serves on the Executive Board of the Aledo Education Foundation and is a member of Grace Church Aledo.
Outside the office, Slaten enjoys duck hunting, bow hunting, fishing, and the occasional round of golf. He and his wife, Breana, live in Aledo with their two children, Parks and Perrie.
